With the Winter Auction: Tribal Art, Ethnographica & Indonesian Decorative Arts, we brought the 2025 auction season to a close. We look back on a varied and successful auction year.

One of the highlights was the auction Unilever The Netherlands Art Collections, in which every lot found a new owner. The surprise of the year was Prince Bernhard’s “safari Rolex”, which changed hands for €179,600.

Over the coming six months, our familiar auctions will return, including Post-War & Contemporary Art, Old Masters, and Nineteenth Century & Early Modern Art, as well as the Summer Auctions. In addition, two exceptional single-owner auctions of Chinese antiquities are scheduled for the 2026 auction calendar: the first will take place in March and the second in September.

Before then, Venduehuis Den Haag will close its doors for the festive season from Monday 22 December 2025 up to and including Monday 5 January 2026, so that we can begin the new auction season full of energy.
