As of 1 April 2026, Marcel Brouwer — known as a design specialist on the AVROTROS programme Tussen Kunst en Kitsch — will join Venduehuis Den Haag. He will focus on establishing and organising design auctions and will become part of the management team. In doing so, the auction house, which has been in operation for more than two centuries, adds a new area of expertise to its offering of art, antiques, Asiatica and luxury items.
Brouwer brings extensive international experience with him. He was previously active in the Dutch auction world and worked at leading houses such as Christie's and Bonhams. At Venduehuis Den Haag, he will work alongside his fellow specialists to further strengthen the house's position as a leading centre of expertise.
