This gold American 1908 20$ coin harbours a particularly special secret: a beautiful Patek Philippe watch! Expert Daniel Girod demonstrates the hidden mechanism of this coin watch, of which it is said only 200 were made.

 

This watch will be up for auction in our Exclusive Jewellery & Watches and Fine Silver auction on 14 June 2022, along with other watches. Keep an eye out for the Patek Philippe ‘Nautilus’ watch also included in this auction!

Mechanical movement, round gold coloured dial with Arabic numerals, hidden in a 1908 USA 20 dollar coin.
