From the Studio of Jaap Gidding: Sketches, Paintings & Designs
This special collection comes from the personal collection of Jaap Gidding. The collection contains various pattern designs and studies for carpets, stained-glass windows and wall paintings, alongside several beautifully executed paintings with floral and animal motifs, characteristic of Gidding’s decorative style. In addition, the
collection offers a personal glimpse into the artist’s life, with loose watercolours and drawings of landscapes from his immediate surroundings, including Munich, where Gidding lived and worked during various periods.
