Parting ways with Jaap van Eesteren

In January 2024, Venduehuis The Hague will be saying goodbye to our expert Books & Prints Jaap van Eesteren.

Jaap has a distinguished career in the world of books to look back on. For a long time, he worked at De Slegte and various auction houses, before he joined Venduehuis in 2018, when Van Stockum's was acquired by Venduehuis.

Due to the changing market for antiquarian books, it is unfortunately no longer beneficial to have a separate department for books and prints.

During future auctions, prints and maps will be taken care of by our Painting department and Venduehuis will search for a new dependable partner for books.
